Twitter has been working on various new features to protect users’ privacy. The micro-blogging platform has now introduced a Feature that will refrain people from sharing others’ photos and videos without their consent or authorization.

Sharing a tweet, Twitter has announced the expansion of the policy. This comes after Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey announced to step down from the position of CEO. Now Parag Agrawal will take the reins.

The main purpose behind this policy is to stop any physical or emotional harm to the users.

Moreover, the new feature will address the growing concerns about the misuse of media and information.

Now onwards if people are found sharing others’ personal information, Twitter might remove the posted media or it might take necessary actions against the users.

It might also suspend the user’s account. However, Twitter already has this policy of preventing the users from sharing other users’ private information like phone numbers, addresses, and IDs on its platform.
