Some users on the network have said that Twitter is currently dealing with yet another problem. Twitter users who do not follow certain persons or accounts have reportedly seen their tweets.
Twitter users have been reporting what seems to be a glitch in Twitter’s algorithm since the early hours of March 10 with tweets from random persons they don’t follow appearing in their Twitter feeds. The identical problems have also been happening in my “For You” section.
A previous update from Twitter made it necessary for users to see suggested tweets on their “For You” page each time the programme was launched. However, the site quickly put this choice on hold in response to customer complaints. Given that many users have been complaining that the for you tab on the platform is displaying an overwhelming amount of content from accounts they aren’t following, it won’t be surprise if the most recent problem is the consequence of an update to Twitter’s algorithm.
A number of Twitter users have asserted that the tweets from arbitrary accounts that appear in their “For You” stream are frequently unconnected to the accounts or general material they follow.
The identical problem with several irrelevant tweets from random accounts appearing on some Moneycontrol reporters’ feeds was also present.
Recently, Twitter brought out contentious API modifications that prevented users from reading links, viewing images, or even using the social network’s website. This week, Twitter also experienced a significant outage because the platform’s API was being managed by only one developer after Elon Musk, the company’s CEO, sacked several key engineers.
