WhatsApp keeps on updating the popular chat app with a host of new features every now and then, Aside from all the cool options, it also offers some really useful features as far as the privacy is concerned.
One of the privacy features includes the one which allows you to hide your Display Picture or profile picture from other users. Many of us do not want to show our DP to users outside of our contact list.
Why you must hide your WhatsApp profile picture?
If the WhatsApp profile picture is not hidden, all WhatsApp users can see and save it by simply taking a screenshot. You sometime speak to people who might not be your family members or friends and not in your list. In such cases, if your profile picture is not hidden, then anyone can see and save it if they want.
If you don’t want this to happen, the best thing would be to hide your DP from people you do not know or do not trust.
How to hide your profile picture on WhatsApp
-Open WhatsApp and go to ‘Settings’
– Tapo on ‘Account’, then tap on ‘Privacy’
– Then, tap on Profile Photo
– “Everyone” option allows everyone on WhatsApp to see your profile photo
– Change “Everyone” to “My contacts” and your photo will be visible to only those whose numbers you have saved
-If you want to hide it from everyone, select “Nobody” and you will be able to hide your DP from everyone on WhatsApp
