WhatsApp is in the process of beta testing global voice message players on iOS. This feature will let some iPhone users continue to listen to their Voice Messages (VM) in the background.

The voice note will keep playing even when the user switches from one chat to another.

Users can listen to these VM directly from the chats screen of the app.

Additionally, WhatsApp Business for iOS has also been spotted testing the new voice message (VM) feature as beta testing.

A report by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp for iOS beta version 22.1.72 has introduced the global voice message player for some users.

Few of the beta testers have also reported its appearance on Twitter. The feature will soon be rolled out to some beta testers on WhatsApp Business for iOS version 22.1.72.

Last year, WhatsApp was spotted working on the global voice message player on iOS. This feature also appeared to be in testing for Android users just earlier this week.

But exactly when will it be out for all the users remains to be announced by WhatsApp. The messaging App may also bring some changes to this feature at the time of its arrival for the general users.

For quite some time, WhatsApp has been working to improve the users’ experience and voice messages is one of them.

Now owned by Meta, the App brought a voice message preview feature to let users review audio recordings before sending them to their contacts.

It has always given users the ability to change the playback speed of audio messages.
