WhatsApp is introducing a new feature that allows users to mute calls from unknown numbers in order to protect their privacy. According to WABetaInfo, which also stated that the feature is accessible under the most recent WhatsApp Beta for Android 2.23.10.7 update on the Google Play Store, this is the case.
An image posted on WABetaInfo provides additional information regarding this choice:
The button to block unknown callers may be located under Settings Privacy, as can be seen above. The calls that have been quiet, however, will appear in both the notification centre and the Calls tab.
According to WABetaInfo, the programme will lessen the likelihood that individuals will become victims of scammers and will free you up to concentrate on your work or other more crucial duties.
Availability
The website stated that only a limited number of beta testers now have access to the feature. The beta-testing procedure is used on the Meta-owned platform prior to the public release of any new abilities.
In the meanwhile, a launch for the general public will happen during the next few weeks.
