A mother in Philadelphia gave birth to apparently what can be said to be the world’s first Tesla baby. Yes! An infant was delivered in the front seat of a Tesla EV while it was driving on autopilot.
This unique delivery was reported by the Philadelphia Inquirer; it took place in September while Yiran Sherry, 33, and her husband Keating Sherry were taking their three-year-old son Rafa to pre-school.
The mother, Yiran Sherry’s waters broke while the family was stuck in traffic.
Keating Sherry sooner placed the vehicle on autopilot mode after setting the navigation system to the hospital, which was 20 minutes away in the western suburb of Paoli.
And then he attended to his wife.
“Tesla Baby”
The baby girl was born on the way to the hospital. Later, nurses cut the baby’s umbilical cord over the car’s front seat.
And once in the hospital, nurses kept coming into her room to see the ‘Tesla baby’.
The mother even thanked the EV makers, “Thank you genius Tesla engineers for your brilliant design of autopilot.”
However, the baby’s delivery is indeed a good news story for Tesla.
Tesla and Affordability
On the other hand, a taxi company in Paris discontinued the use of Tesla Model 3 cars after a deadly crash.
In the past, Tesla has also faced a lawsuit in Florida over an accident involving the death of a teenager in a Model S in 2019.
Co-founded by Elon Musk, the company was ordered to pay 137m dollars in damages to a Black employee who was racially abused.
Although, Tesla is known for cutting edge technology and innovations, at times it can become unaffordable for consumers.
Recently, in Jaala, an ice-covered village in south Finland’s Kymenlaakso region recorded a bizarre incident. A 2013 Tesla Model S set owner blew up his car.
The video shows the disgruntled owner speaking about life and its hardships in his country.
After running from pillar to post for getting his car repaired, the man finally got a call that the repaid centre also could not do anything about his car. The only option was to change the whole battery cell. That’s how he decided to blow up this Tesla giant.
