Facebook, instant messaging app WhatsApp and Instagram on Monday suffered an outage.
The three apps slowed down in several parts of the world.
All these apps are owned by Facebook. Also, they run on shared infrastructure.
Since the world is evidently dependent on these apps, their slow functioning is inevitably a big issue for the entire world.
App users have been posting messages on Twitter showing the blackout of these apps through screenshots.
WhatsApp, Facebook down
Meanwhile, Messenger was also down for nearly 3,000 users.
All three Facebook properties are market leaders in India in their categories of instant messaging, photo sharing and social networking.
Facebook has more than 410 million users in India.
Moreover, WhatsApp messenger has over 530 million users. And Instagram too has over 210 million users in India.
