Xiaomi 13 series launched with Leica cameras, check price and specifications

The new Xiaomi 13 smartphone series has made its official debut. The Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro are the two smartphones in the new series. Both smartphones run on the most recent Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor from Qualcomm, which can support up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. The Xiaomi 12S Ultra and the pair both include a Leica camera lens. The design of the Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro is identical, with the camera mechanism differing slightly. The Xiaomi 13 series is now available in China, and it will go worldwide in the first few months of 2019.

Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro: Prices

Pre-orders for the two new Xiaomi smartphones are now open in China, and shipments will begin on December 14. The base 8GM RAM and 128GB storage edition of the Xiaomi 13 costs CNY 3,999 (about Rs 47,300), and the top option with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage costs CNY 4,999. (roughly Rs 60,000). It costs CNY 4,299 (about Rs 51,000) for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage middle model and CNY 4,599 (approximately Rs 54,400) for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage middle variant, respectively.

The 8GB RAM and 128GB storage version of the Xiaomi 13 Pro has a starting price of CNY 4,999 (approximately Rs 60,000), while the 12GB RAM and 512GB storage variant has a price of CNY 6,299 (about Rs 80,000). (roughly Rs 74,500). In India, Xiaomi could offer the Xiaomi 13 series at a somewhat lower cost.

Xiaomi 13: Specifications

The display is somewhat larger at 6.36 inches on the Xiaomi 13’s basic model, which sports a fake leather finish on the back. Full-HD+ resolution (1080 x 2400 pixels), a refresh rate of 120 Hz (no adaptive refresh rate), compatibility for Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and HLG are all features of the OLED display. Similar to the Xiaomi 13 Pro, the screen’s maximum brightness is 1,900 nits.

It has three Leica-powered cameras: a 50-megapixel main sensor with OIS (optical image stabilisation), a 10-megapixel telephoto camera sensor with 3x optical zoom, and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide sensor. There is a 32-megapixel camera on the front that can record Full-HD video.

Other features include a 4500mAh battery with 67W wired and 50W wireless charging, Wi-Fi 6e, 5G, Wi-Fi Direct, and an under-display fingerprint sensor.

Xiaomi 13 Pro: Specifications

The 6.7-inch LTPO OLED display in the Pro variant is larger and better and supports Dolby Vision and HDR10. It also has a 120Hz refresh rate. A Victus-type Corning Gorilla Glass shields the screen.

The Xiaomi 13 Pro’s Leica-powered camera system is a significant improvement over that of its brother. Three 50-megapixel camera sensors are available (wide, ultra-wide, and telephoto). 3.2 optical zoom is available on the telephoto lens.

Although the Xiaomi 13 Pro has a larger 4820mAh battery with support for 120W wired and 50W wireless charging, connectivity choices are largely the same as those of the standard model.

Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro come pre-installed with MIUI 13 which is based on Android 13.
