Xiaomi had just unveiled its newest smart band on the international market. For the first time in the history of the Xiaomi Mi Band series, the Band 7 and Band 7 Pro debuted together. The vanilla model is a standard smart band for individuals who want a wonderful device to track their physical activity supplied at an excellent price, whilst the Pro variant is more akin to a smart watch. The Amazfit Band 7 by Huami, a Xiaomi subsidiary company, made its debut last month and has a similar look to the Xiaomi Band 7 Pro.
With the Amazfit’s low cost, many consumers are currently debating whether to purchase the newest Xiaomi smart band or Huami’s. This comparison of the features of the Xiaomi Band 7 and the Amazfit Band 7 should help you make up your mind about which wearable offers the most value for your money and dispel any misconceptions you may have about both.
Battery
If you are familiar with batteries, looking at these two gadgets will allow you to quickly determine which one has the longest battery life. As a smaller wearable, the Xiaomi Band 7’s battery life should logically be lesser. Unlike the Amazfit Band 7, which has a battery life of up to 18 days, it can last for up to 14 days on a single charge. Since the Xiaomi wearable only has a 180 mAh battery, the Huami wearable has a 232 mAh battery.
Design and display
The most beautiful design is found on the Xiaomi Band 7. It resembles a band more and is more compact because there is a smaller, oval-shaped display present. Undoubtedly, it is one of the most attractive smart bands available. One of the reasons it is particularly ergonomic is that the core portion fits nicely in the band without going outside of its edge. Due to its rectangular display, the Amazfit Band 7 has a less rounded and beautiful appearance. Both wearables have a silicone strap that is available in a variety of colours, and they are waterproof up to 5 ATM (or 50 meters).

Since they can be operated via a touch screen and feature sensors on the back side, which are hidden from view when the wearer is wearing them, they lack a physical key. Speaking of the display, the bigger rectangular panel makes the Amazfit Band 7 more pleasant to use. The Xiaomi Band 7 has a very high pixel density, but because of its smaller display and preference for viewing all data in the official app, it is ideal for people who do not need it for everything they do. Although both wearables have AMOLED screens with vibrant colours and deeper blacks, an AMOLED screen makes more sense on a device like the Amazfit.
Software and features
Even though they have distinct software, the Amazfit Band 7 and Xiaomi Band 7 have a lot in common. A PPG sensor allows them to continuously track SpO2 levels and the heart rate throughout the day. They also support highly advanced sleep tracking and menstrual cycle tracking. The Amazfit Band 7 provides 24-hour stress monitoring, though, which is something extra. For individuals who care about keeping a close eye on their health, this makes a difference.

The Xiaomi wearable can recognise five sports modes automatically and offers 120 sports modes in the Chinese version and 110 sports modes in the international version. The Amazfit Band 7 can recognise four activities automatically and tracks up to 120 different types of physical activity. Unfortunately, these gadgets do not support NFC, therefore using your credit cards for contactless payments is not possible. Additionally, they lack a GPS module but may still track physical activity by connecting to the phone’s GPS. Both the Amazfit Band 7 and the Xiaomi Band 7 are Bluetooth 5.2 compatible and work with both Android and iPhone devices.
