Zomato, an online food delivery service, just announced that it is now available in Hindi and other frequently used regional Indian languages, including Bengali, Punjabi, Malayalam, Kannada, Gujarati, Marathi, Tamil, and Telugu.
- The company fulfils around 150,000 orders per month through regional language variants of the Zomato app.
- According to Zomato, Hindi and Tamil currently account for 54% and 11% of these orders, respectively, and the rest are expanding quickly.
- At the time of writing, the food delivery service provides service in more than 1,000 cities.

In comparison to a net loss of Rs 430 crore for the same quarter last year, the online food delivery platform’s consolidated net loss reduced to Rs 251 crore for the September quarter.
The income increased by a significant 62.2 percent to Rs 1,661 crore from Rs 1,024 crore in the same period last year, according to a statement from the company.
Zomato stated that this quarter marked the first time it has exceeded $1.05 billion in annualised revenue.
Gross Order Value (GOV) for Blinkist increased by 26% on a quarterly basis to Rs 14.82 billion, while revenue increased by 44% on a quarterly basis.
According to the business, “Adjusted EBITDA loss in fast commerce decreased to Rs 2.59 billion from Rs 3.26 billion in the prior quarter (Q1FY23)”.
