Bella ordered a leather necklace with a resin tooth pendant from Chinese e-commerce platform Temu. Instead, she received a pendant that contains what appears to be a real dog tooth.
Dog Tooth Pendant Shocks British Shopper
Bella shared her bizarre experience on TikTok, and it was caught with so much attention. She said that the necklace, which cost her 57 pence for ₹60, was designed to be worn during her costume event in school. When she got the package, however, she found that a foul smell was coming from the pendant. She looked closer, and the resin tooth, too, really looked too real; maybe it was in reality a dog's tooth. Sick and horrified, Bella decided to smash the pendant.
In her TikTok video, Bella explained, So, I bought this necklace from Temu for a Woodstock hippie costume day at school. The listing described it as a resin tooth pendant. As a jeweler familiar with resin, I know it's odorless and feels like strong adhesive. However, this item had a bad smell, which made me suspicious. After examining it closely, I realized it wasn't resin at all. It might have been a dog's tooth once.

Temu is the platform she has been using, and it is famous for offering budget-friendly items, many of which are made from plastic. Bella admitted that nothing more was expected than cheap materials, but she received an organic product, and the item was provided with such a pungent smell. The problem, which The New York Post also reported, has sparked concerns about the dangers of making purchases on some platforms. Bella posted pictures of the necklace on TikTok, cautioning her followers to be more careful in buying from an unknown source. Her case points to better transparency and quality control for e-commerce companies. To some extent, it serves as a reminder that "too good to be true" deals sometimes come with unexpected surprises.
