Bulandshahr Heartbroken Pet Owner Posts ₹1 Lakh Bounty as Beloved Parrot Disappears for Seven Days

A striking example of devotion was seen recently when a bird lover from Bulandshahr announced a ₹1 lakh reward for anyone who can reunite him with his missing parrot. Naveen Pathak, the grieved owner, has resorted to social media to put out a message in order to make people aware of his plight. He admits that he hasn't eaten or slept since his dear pet disappeared a week ago.
A Free-Range Companion
Naveen, a resident of Krishna Nagar in Bulandshahr, had raised an Alexandrine parrot, which was known locally as a "pahaadi" species. The parrot would generally return home by evening and was always with Naveen wherever he went. But seven days ago, the bird flew away and has not been seen since.
Frantic Search
After days of futile efforts, a desperate Naveen took to Facebook, put up a "name your price" reward-prominently pegged at approximately ₹1 lakh-for its safe return. According to Naveen, his parrot could mimic not just names and phone numbers but nearly anything he taught it. Enough videos of the parrot "speaking" have gone viral now on social media to foreground its strange abilities.
Naveen's heartfelt appeal has become something of a talking point amongst residents and animal lovers who've been spreading it via local social media networks; and many have said hopes have been placed upon getting back the bird sooner rather than later in this warmest and friendliest region in the country.
Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of the missing parrot is encouraged to contact Naveen, who promises a handsome reward—no questions asked—to anyone providing information that leads to the safe return of the parrot.
