China Zoo Paints Puppies as Pandas

In yet another bizarre news story from China, a zoo in Shanwei has been exposed for passing off puppies as pandas to unsuspecting visitors. China is already known for its infamous counterfeit goods, but this time, the deception reached a whole new level. A viral video circulating on social media shows how the zoo painted puppies with black and white markings to make them look like pandas, fooling tourists who genuinely believed they were seeing real pandas.

At first glance, it’s easy to be deceived—many zoo visitors were convinced they were admiring pandas. However, the truth was revealed when these so-called pandas started barking, exposing the zoo’s charade. Social media users had a field day, jokingly suggesting that China must have "created these pandas in the Wuhan lab."

Initially, the zoo denied any wrongdoing, claiming that the animals were part of a "new breed" of Panda Dogs. Despite their claims, the rising mockery and criticism forced the zoo to admit that they had painted puppies to look like pandas.

This is not the first time a Chinese zoo has tried to fool the public with fake animals. In a previous incident, another zoo dressed a man in a bear costume and passed him off as a real bear to visitors.

According to a report by the New York Post, the situation became even more ridiculous when one of the “pandas” started panting and barking, finally making visitors realize that something was seriously wrong. Even after the truth came out, the zoo initially stood by its statement, insisting the animals were a different species of panda-like dogs. Eventually, they had to admit the truth.

This incident has sparked widespread amusement and criticism online, with many people questioning the lengths some zoos will go to deceive their visitors.
