Driver Flees After Collision, Man Climbs Onto Taxi Roof to Stop Him; Mumbai Video Goes Viral
A dramatic video from Mumbai's Western Express Highway has started doing the rounds, showing how a man sat on a speeding taxi's roof with an attempt to stop it. The incident took place near the Vakola flyover, where the man claimed the taxi driver hit his car and tried to flee. The man climbed onto the roof of the moving taxi, urging the driver to stop to prevent him from escaping. The video also shows that the windshield of the taxi was damaged, probably from the earlier collision.
Police Investigating the Incident
The Vakola police have taken cognisance of the viral video and are probing the incident. They haven't received an official complaint but are trying to track down the taxi driver as well as the man who appeared in the video. Police suspect that the incident had occurred a few days back and confirmed that the taxi is registered in Maharashtra.

Similar Incident in Delhi
This case reminds one of an earlier incident in Delhi, when a driver ran a red light and hit two policemen and carried them on his car bonnet for 100 meters. The accused driver was later arrested following a complaint from the injured officers.
