Jamtara: In a bizarre incident, a man named Bablu Murmu climbed a 133,000-volt high-tension electric pole in Charakdaha village, Bindapathar police station area. The incident caused quite a stir among the villagers, who gathered around and attempted to persuade Bablu to come down. Despite their efforts, he refused to descend, prompting the locals to inform the police.
The Incident
Bablu Murmu, reportedly mentally ill, scaled the high-tension electric pole to get a view of his in-laws' village. The scene created a spectacle for several hours as the villagers tried to coax him down. It was only after the police arrived and persuaded him that Bablu finally climbed down from the dangerous height.
Police Action
Upon questioning, Bablu revealed that his motive for climbing the pole was simply to see his in-laws' village from a higher vantage point. The police, noting his unstable mental state, immediately sent him to Jamtara Sadar Hospital for treatment.
