Kanpur ACP Mohsin Khan Accused: A shocking case has emerged in Kanpur, where ACP Mohsin Khan has been accused of sexually exploiting a PhD student. Allegedly, Khan fabricated a story about divorcing his wife to deceive the student, while his wife was pregnant at the time.
False Promises of Marriage and Sexual Exploitation
The victim claims that ACP Mohsin Khan presented himself as divorced and lured her with false promises of marriage. When the student learned about his marriage, he justified it as a "family-forced arrangement." Later, when it was revealed that his wife was pregnant, Khan explained it as "relations made under family pressure."
Complaint Filed, ACP Transferred to Lucknow Headquarters
Following the student's complaint, a case of rape and other charges was filed against ACP Mohsin Khan at Kanpur's Kalyanpur police station. The officer was immediately transferred to the Lucknow Police Headquarters, and a Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been formed to probe the case.
Affair Began During PhD Program at IIT Kanpur
ACP Mohsin Khan was pursuing a PhD in Cybercrime and Digital Forensics at IIT Kanpur, during which the alleged affair with the student began. The victim reported that the first instance of sexual relations occurred on campus.
Victim's Courage Brings Truth to Light
When the student discovered through a friend that Khan’s wife was pregnant, she confronted him. Upon realizing the deception, she reported the matter to the Police Commissioner and IIT authorities. The accused reportedly tried to deflect the allegations by labeling the victim as mentally unstable.
SIT Formed for Investigation
Kanpur Police convened a special meeting to address the gravity of the case and formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT). DCP South Ankita Sharma recorded the victim’s statement and initiated legal proceedings.
