In recent times, stories of individuals losing money through online gaming have been making headlines. One such story that gained nationwide attention is that of a young man named Himanshu, who claimed to have lost ₹96 lakh through online gaming. Himanshu shared his ordeal on a private TV channel, which garnered widespread sympathy. Following this, many other journalists invited him to their personal podcasts to discuss his experience.

However, BJP leader and senior lawyer Prashant Patel has made a shocking revelation about Himanshu on the platform X (formerly Twitter).

Here's what he posted:

Himanshu Mishra, a young man from the Kakadeo area in Kanpur, who claimed to have lost ₹96 lakh in online gaming, has been exposed as a fraud. On July 1, around 4 PM, Himanshu was spotted in the Kakadeo area carrying a school bag with coaching notes and selling pens for ₹10. He introduced himself as a student preparing for the SSC exams and said, "Brother, I am studying for SSC here and sell items part-time. I haven't eaten since morning, please buy a pen."

At that time, I was accompanied by BJP leaders Mahendra and Atul. They gave Himanshu ₹100 for food and shared their contact details to offer further assistance. However, it was later discovered that Himanshu is a notorious conman who has duped several people in the name of studying for SSC at Mahindra Coaching in Kakadeo.

We have Himanshu’s contact number and address in Kanpur. Shockingly, it has come to light that many journalists sensationalized his story without verifying the facts. No one questioned him about the authenticity of his JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) claims, or asked for proof of his scorecard.

Today, this scammer continues to exploit his fabricated sob story to earn money from interviews with YouTubers. This incident highlights the importance of fact-checking and truthfulness in journalism before broadcasting any story.

This revelation raises serious questions about the authenticity of such claims and serves as a reminder of the need for rigorous verification of facts in the media industry.
