Nita Ambani, who was the founder of the Reliance Foundation and famous for her elegant taste in clothes, was present as a distinguished guest at a special dinner event in Washington, D.C. just before Donald Trump was to take the presidential oath ceremony. She dressed up in an exquisite Kanchipuram saree complemented by an awe-inspiring 200-year-old emerald pendant, again presenting her appreciation of India's strong cultural legacy worldwide.

Indian Customs Through Style

Nita Ambani, known for her elegant style and perfectionism, prefers to opt for traditional Indian attire and accessories for international big-ticket events. She stunned everyone at the pre-oath dinner in a Kanchipuram saree, woven with more than 100 intricate traditional motifs, designed by B. Krishnamurthy. The rich colors and minute craftsmanship of the saree reflect India's great textile heritage.

The 200-Year-Old Emerald Pendant

The showstopper was, however, the pendant she wore. An antique Indian emerald believed to be two centuries old, the necklace features a bird design set in emeralds, rubies, diamonds, and pearls. Crafted using a combination of red and green enamel in the traditional kundan technique, it looks deceptively simple yet carries a regal aura, highlighting the intricate artistry that goes into high-end Indian jewelry.

A Global Cultural Exhibition

The selection of a timeless Kanchipuram saree and rare heritage jewellery by Nita Ambani also reflects the spirit of showcasing India's rich cultural assets to the rest of the world. Her display in Washington D.C. served to not only enthrall people and enthusiasts, but her reputation as the world ambassador for India's cultural values and products continued to stay.
