A video featuring the son of Rajasthan's Deputy Chief Minister, Premchand Bairwa, has gone viral on social media, raising questions about law and order in the state. In the video, Bairwa's son is seen creating a reel while being escorted by police vehicles, highlighting the privileges enjoyed by the children of political leaders. The footage shows four young men seated in an open jeep, one of whom is identified as the Deputy Chief Minister's son.

In response to the video, Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Premchand Bairwa issued a statement, saying, "Yes, that's my son in the video. There’s nothing wrong with it. It’s a privilege for me that Modi ji has appointed someone like me as Deputy Chief Minister, and now my son gets to experience riding in luxury vehicles. He’s a student in senior school and was with his friends. My son isn’t even 18 yet. No vehicle was escorting him; the police vehicle was merely following for safety. If anyone wants to make a fuss about this, that’s their choice."

Public Reactions and Comments

The video has sparked a flurry of reactions on social media, with users expressing their disbelief at the apparent favoritism. Many commented on the sight of police vehicles escorting the children of politicians, questioning the rationale behind such privileges. One user remarked, "Shouldn't the Deputy Chief Minister's son receive some leeway? What position warrants police escort for him?"

Calls for Government Accountability

When former Transport Minister Pratap Singh Khachariyawas was questioned about the incident, he sarcastically pointed out that the BJP is now in power and thus, it is the government’s responsibility to address such issues rather than the opposition. He also emphasized that the transport department and police exist to enforce rules, stating, "If there’s any negligence in following regulations, it should be addressed."

The incident has raised concerns about the misuse of power and resources by public officials and their families, prompting calls for increased scrutiny and accountability from the state government.
