Rajkot-Gondal Highway Hit-and-Run Case: Family Demands Justice for Deceased Youth
Rajkot: In a tragic hit-and-run case on the Rajkot-Gondal highway, a young man named Parth Maheshbhai Trivedi from Vasavad lost his life after being struck by a car. The incident has sparked outrage as the victim's family held a press conference in Rajkot, demanding justice and proper legal action against those responsible.
The accident occurred near Vasavad, where Parth was hit by a car driven by an unidentified driver who fled the scene immediately after the collision. The family of the deceased has expressed deep frustration over the handling of the case, as they believe the police have not taken appropriate action against the car owner or driver.
The family is particularly upset that the police have applied Section 304A (causing death by negligence) instead of the more serious Section 304 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder) in the case. They allege that the police are treating the case as a routine accident rather than a rare and serious incident, and are attempting to dismiss the matter without a thorough investigation.
The victim's family has identified the car driver as Rinkal Bhalu, who is associated with an educational institution, and her husband, who works as a professor in Rajkot. The family is demanding immediate action, including the arrest of the driver under the appropriate legal provisions.
"We want justice for our family," said Munnabhai Trivedi, a relative of the deceased. "The driver responsible for this accident should be held accountable."
Parth's brother, Mitbhai Trivedi, also expressed his grief and called for justice, emphasizing that the family deserves to see those responsible brought to justice.
The case has raised concerns about how hit-and-run incidents are handled by law enforcement and has sparked a debate over the need for stricter enforcement of traffic laws in such cases.
