Udaipur Student's Arrogant Threat Backfires: Viral Video Forces Apology After Professor Showdown

Udaipur – A video of a college student threatening a female professor in a classroom at Mohanlal Sukhadia University in Udaipur has gone viral, sparking widespread criticism on social media. The incident has prompted the college administration to take disciplinary action against the student.

In the video, the student, identified as Mohammad Kaif, can be seen confronting the female professor after she reprimanded him for arriving late to class. The situation escalated when Kaif began boasting about his father’s connections, claiming his family had close ties with high-ranking officials, including the district collector. His aggressive behavior culminated with him spitting on the classroom floor before storming out, leaving the professor and other students stunned.

Student's Behavior Sparks Outrage

The viral video quickly gained attention online, with many questioning the student's arrogance and sense of entitlement. Kaif’s claims about his father’s influence and his disrespectful actions drew widespread condemnation, both online and offline.

As the video circulated on social media platforms, the student's actions were harshly criticized by users, who called out the growing culture of disrespect toward educators. The incident sparked a wave of protests at the university, led by student groups, including members of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP).

College Administration Responds

In response to the uproar, the college administration swiftly took action. A special investigation committee was formed to examine the incident, and Kaif was suspended pending the outcome of the inquiry. The university management stated that it takes such behavior very seriously and will ensure that justice is served.

"After reviewing the video evidence and listening to the testimonies of those present, the college administration has decided to suspend the student involved until the investigation is completed," a university spokesperson said.

Apology Video Released by Student

Amid mounting criticism and social media backlash, Mohammad Kaif released a new video in which he apologized for his actions. In the video, Kaif expressed regret for his behavior, acknowledging that his conduct in the classroom was inappropriate and disrespectful.

"I deeply regret what happened. I acted impulsively and disrespectfully. I apologize to the professor and the college for my actions," Kaif said in his apology video.

The apology, however, did little to quell the anger of those who had witnessed the original video. Many users continued to express their frustration with the entitled attitude displayed by the student.

ABVP Protests and Calls for Action

Following the incident, members of the ABVP gathered on campus to demand stricter punishment for the student. They temporarily shut down the college in protest and organized a demonstration outside the university’s administrative building, chanting slogans and calling for action.

The ABVP leaders urged the college administration to set an example by taking strict disciplinary action against the student. "This behavior cannot be tolerated. Disrespecting a professor in this manner reflects a deeper issue of entitlement and arrogance that must be addressed," an ABVP spokesperson said during the protest.

The viral video from Udaipur has sparked a larger conversation about student behavior, respect for educators, and the influence of personal connections in educational institutions. As the investigation continues, the university is facing pressure from both students and the public to take decisive action. Mohammad Kaif’s apology may have been a step toward reconciliation, but the incident has left a lasting impression, highlighting the need for greater accountability and respect within academic environments.
