Gonda, Uttar Pradesh: In a shocking revelation, a video of a staff nurse at Gonda District Hospital accepting a bribe has gone viral on social media. The nurse, identified as Saraswati Gupta, is seen taking a 100-rupee bribe from patients in the Orthopedic Ward under the pretext of providing tea and water.

Despite repeated instances of corruption coming to light, bribery at Gonda District Hospital shows no signs of abating. The latest incident, captured on video yesterday afternoon, shows Nurse Saraswati Gupta accepting the bribe. The video was recorded by the relatives of a patient and subsequently shared on social media, demanding action against the nurse.

According to sources, Mata Prasad, a resident of Gondwa Ghat village in the Dehat Kotwali area, was admitted to the Orthopedic Ward at Gonda District Hospital due to a leg problem. During his treatment, over the past three days, Nurse Gupta had been demanding a daily bribe of 100 rupees. Frustrated by this extortion, the patient's relatives decided to expose the malpractice by recording and posting the video online.
