Jaipur, Rajasthan: Shyam Juice Center, one of the most famous juice shops located in the C-Scheme area of Jaipur, has come under scrutiny after being raided by the health department for allegedly using rotten fruits to prepare juice. The condition of the shop was deplorable, with foul odors permeating the air, and the overall hygiene was extremely poor. A video of the raid, conducted by the health department, has gone viral on social media, shocking many regular customers.

Long Queues Outside, Horrific Conditions Inside

The juice center, which has been a popular spot for years, attracted customers from far and wide who believed they were getting fresh fruit juice. Long lines were a common sight outside the shop. However, the reality was far different from what customers expected. During the raid, the health department recorded a video inside the shop, revealing the appalling conditions that left people astonished. Many described the scene as hellish.

Rotten Fruits Used to Make Juice

The health department team was horrified by what they found inside the shop. Rotten bananas and papayas emitted a foul smell, and the apples had turned black with decay. Despite the condition of the fruits, juice was still being made from them, with added fragrances and essences to mask the rotten odor. The bottles containing these additives were covered in mold, and even the refrigerators and deep freezers were coated with layers of grime, indicating a severe lack of cleanliness.

Mold and Stench in Packing Materials

Additional Food Commissioner Pankaj Ojha stated that the raid was part of an ongoing campaign to curb food adulteration in the state. The raid on Shyam Juice Center, located in Bagadia Bhavan, revealed the extent of the health risks posed to customers. The fruits were in such a state of decay that they should have been discarded long ago. The shop had clearly neglected hygiene for years, with mold covering bottles and packaging materials, and a pervasive stench filling the air.

When the health department team arrived, the situation at the juice center was dire. Rotten and moldy fruits were being used to make juice, and the shop reeked of decay. The team immediately ordered the destruction of the contaminated fruits.
