Who is The Doll: Colombian Hitwoman Arrested for Serial Killings, Including the Assassination of Ex-Bf

In a crime thriller-like tale from Colombia's Magdalena Medio region, Karen Julieth Ojeda Rodriguez, famously known as La Muñeca (The Doll), has been arrested for orchestrating a series of brutal murders. This 23-year-old assassin's chilling reputation for calculated violence earned her a deadly status within Colombia's criminal underworld.

Rodriguez was the leader of the violent Los de la M gang, and she was arrested in Barrancabermeja, where her capture seemed like a scene from a noir film. She was paraded confidently by authorities, seemingly unfazed by her arrest. Her involvement in organized crime was widespread, and her crimes included masterminding high-profile hits with ruthless precision.

Among her most notorious acts is murder, this time against her former boyfriend, Deyvy Jesus, assassinated on July 23. Rodriguez tricked him to a secluded area pretending he wanted to settle a financial matter and then ambushed him by shooting two gunmen from a motorcycle. The police say the assassination was well planned from start to finish.

It wasn't the end of the story for La Muñeca as her accomplices, including Paula Valentina Joya Rueda, known as Gorda Sicaria, and another person called Leopoldo, were apprehended by the authorities. Weapons linked to the crimes were seized from the arrested suspects, which include a revolver and a 9mm pistol, and these could have been the instruments used in the killings.

Rodriguez was not just a hitwoman; she was allegedly a big fish in the Los de la M gang. Her leadership over a network of hitmen enabled her to carry out assassinations with surgical precision. The authorities now see this arrest as a significant victory against the gang's operations, with Lieutenant Colonel Mauricio Herrera of the Magdalena Medio Police stating, "These arrests bring much-needed calm to the region."
