Zomato Delivery Boy Viral Post: Truth Behind Noida Incident Shocks Internet

Zomato Delivery Boy Viral Post: A social activist, Kiran Verma, noticed a Zomato delivery agent eating food while sitting on his bike in Noida. Initially, he suspected misconduct and even clicked a picture. However, after speaking to the delivery boy, the reality was entirely different.

The Truth Behind the Incident

The delivery boy, identified as Vishal, shared that he picked up an order around 2 PM but found the customer unavailable at the given address. As per Zomato’s policy, he was instructed to mark the order as ‘delivered’ to avoid unnecessary attempts. Once the system registers an order as delivered, the food belongs to the delivery executive. Vishal kept the food for later, hoping to complete more deliveries and earn extra incentives during the Holi festival.

A Graduate Struggling for a Job

Vishal is a graduate but has been unable to secure a stable job. He works as a food delivery agent to support his family, including his farmer father and two younger siblings studying in Eastern Uttar Pradesh. For him, a leftover meal is more than just food—it’s a small relief from his financial burdens.

Zomato CEO Responds

After learning about Vishal’s struggle, Kiran Verma offered help, but he refused, saying, "Sir, I can work hard, but I won't beg." Verma gifted him sweets and invited him to celebrate Holi at his home. He also thanked Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal for providing gig workers with employment opportunities, emphasizing that people should refrain from making quick judgments without knowing someone’s full story.
