Agra-Lucknow Expressway: Short Circuit Sparks Fire on Passenger Magic Van Near Unnao, Passengers Escape Burning Vehicle

Agra-Lucknow Expressway: A major incident has been reported on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway, near kilometer 255 in the Behata Mujawar police station area of Unnao district. A Magic passenger vehicle, on its way from Bangarmau to Lucknow, caught fire from a suspected short circuit. The vehicle, fully packed with passengers, caught flames, creating panic among them. The people on board responded very fast, getting out of the car in an attempt to save themselves. Fortunately, there were no casualties, but the occurrence caused a total disarray and commotion on the expressway. Fire really engulfed the Magic van quickly; it took hours before the fire crew arrived to contain the fire. The firefighters finally controlled the fire through water to put out the fire, leaving the car completely burnt. It was reported that the accident had happened around Gauriya Kala and marked a need for stronger measures to be taken regarding passenger cars and their safety. The causes for this fire are still being ascertained by local authorities, which suggested an electrical short circuit that was probably responsible for the fire. Fast action by the passengers, as well as the department of fire, saved major catastrophe, but the entire event points towards proper care and maintenance of vehicles with good safety norms.
