The incident took place on the night of November 24, 2024, when a patient named Anita Roy, accompanied by her husband Brijendra Kumar Yadav, an IPS officer, was admitted to the Sports Injury Centre (SIC) building. The resident doctor was attending to the patient when the doctor reportedly faced rude behavior from the patient. The situation escalated when the husband, Brijendra Kumar Yadav, verbally abused the doctor. The cause of his anger remains unclear.
