Mass Fire Consumes Mud House in Mukundpur: Lakhs Worth of Livestock and Household Materials Burnt Down
MUKUNDPUR – A mass fire engulfed a mud house at the Tala Police Station's jurisdictional village Mukundpur late last night. This led to a major damage of both property and livestock. The incident has put a poor family to utter despair and lakhs worth of rupees from household items and animals burnt down.
A suspected short circuit caused the flames that consumed this small, fragile mud house quickly. The fire engulfed the whole structure, reducing their belongings to ashes. However, about a dozen goats from the family were caught up in the fire and got destroyed in the inferno.
The victim has stated that the family members were sleeping in another room when the fire started. Smoke and flames grew rapidly, and despite efforts to control it, the fire consumed everything in its path. Livestock, which had been housed nearby, could not be saved from the inferno. The family, which is badly affected by the loss, has reported damage worth lakhs of rupees.
The local villagers managed to unite and assist in curbing the flames from spreading further. Firefighters came later to douse the remaining flames. The destruction was extensive, as the family's living quarters and livelihood were reduced to rubble.
Authorities are working to find out the cause of the fire, while local officials have expressed sympathy to the victims and vowed to help them at this trying moment. The accident draws attention to the vulnerability of homes in the countryside to such outbreaks, hence calls for better safety measures in the community.
