Kanpur Officials Visit Family of Shubham Dwivedi Killed in Pahalgam Terror Attack
In a touching gesture, Kanpur District Magistrate Jitendra Pratap Singh and DCP South went to the house of Shubham Dwivedi, the Kanpur cement businessman who was martyred in the terrorist attack at Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir.
Shubham, a newly wedded man, was on holidays with his family when terrorists began firing at a tourist spot in Pahalgam. He was shot in the head as he was queried about his name, while his wife watched helplessly.
District officials met the family of the mourning victim in Shyam Nagar, expressing condolence and giving a promise of complete cooperation towards the return of Shubham's body and subsequent formalities. The distressed family thanked the administration for promptly intervening.
The brutal murder of Shubham has shaken Kanpur and the entire country, triggering massive outpourings of grief and demands for justice. Officials of the government are in close touch with officials in Jammu and Kashmir to facilitate the repatriation of Shubham's body at the earliest.
