Kili Paul, Tanzanian lip-sync artist assaulted, left injured after knife attack

Kili Paul, the big name from Africa that doesn’t need an introduction is in the news once again. The internet sensation was attacked by unidentified individuals with knives.

Not only this he was also beaten with sticks. The lip-sync artist has shared a video on his Instagram stories; it shows him lying on a stretcher with a bandage on his thumb and injury marks on his legs.

However, there is no information about how Paul was attacked. Kili was also honoured by the Indian High Commission in Tanzania in February this year.

Earlier this year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had mentioned about the Tanzanian siblings Kili Paul and Neema Paul in his monthly ‘Mann Ki Baat’ address.

Furthermore, the videos of the two have been doing rounds on social media since long.

Kili Paul and his sister Neema are known for posting videos of themselves lip-syncing and dancing to popular Bollywood songs.

“I laud Kili and Neema, the siblings from Tanzania who sang our national anthem to celebrate India’s 73rd Republic Day. They were also recently honoured by High Commission of India,” Modi said in his monthly ‘Mann ki Baat’ address.

“The diversity of Indian music is enthralling, if Kili Paul and Neema Paul can take our heritage to Tanzania, so can the youth of our nation by bringing back our ‘Azadi Ke Geet’ in their own way in various dialects and languages to celebrate the essence of India.”

Moreover, the Indian High Commissioner in Tanzania had recently honoured the talented siblings.

Kili Paul and Neema sang Jana Gana Mana On January 26, 2022, Kili Paul shared a video of himself and Neema singing Jana Gana Mana, the national anthem of India. The video went viral in no time.

When Kili Paul and sister got the biggest surprise

Besides this, Kili Paul and Nima got a surprise during the interview with Red FM’s RJ Rohan & RJ Kisna after Jubin Nautiyal suddently joined their conversation.

During the interview, Kili said one of the international singers he also likes the most at the moment is Jubin Nautiyal.

When Jubin Nautiyal hailed Tanzanian siblings

In December 2021, popular singer Jubin Nautiyal had posted a video of Kili and Neema Paul on his Instagram handle saying music is the universal language.

“Music is the universal language ~ a harmonic connection between all living beings. No matter the country we are born in or our ethnicity, music brings us all together. @kili_paul is a true example of this. #TujheKitnaChaheinAurHum a song by @mithoon11 that will stay forever,” he captioned the post.
