Leopard attacks man in Jammu's Gandhi Nagar

A leopard created panic in Green Belt Park area of posh Gandhi Nagar area of Jammu on Tuesday. According to various media reports, the leopard also attacked a bystander and caused several injuries.

Wildlife Warden, Jammu, Anil Attri earlier told Greater Kashmir that they received information about the wild cat. The cub of leopard was spotted roaming in the area. Upon receiving the information, the wildlife team went on to capture it.

The video from the incident scene is doing round on the internet. As the rescue team goes on to capture the wild cat, it attacks a man while another man in the video scares the wild creature.

Officials and eyewitnesses too confirmed to Greater Kashmir that a man had been injured in the attack by the wild cat which the Wildlife Department officials managed to capture alive after tranquilization.

They identified the injured as Ganga Ram, who an official said has been shifted to the nearby hospital for treatment.
