It was a scary sight to see the dangerous landing of two Air India planes amid Storm Eunice in London. The viral video shows how the pilots managed to land safely in London’s Heathrow airport despite gusting winds.
Storm Eunice swept across the northwestern Europe. It has left hundreds of flights cancelled. The viral video of the landing on social media earned praises for the pilots.
The truly dangerous landing was live-streamed by YouTube channel Big Jet TV.
As per reports, the flights landed at Heathrow on Friday afternoon. AI-147 was from Hyderabad and had Anchit Bhardwaj as the captain while AI-145 was from Goa and Aditya Rao was the captain.
Air India plane’s ‘risky landing at London
The cockpit crew members on both flights had commander Capt Manmath Routray, First Officers Capt Rahul Gupta, Capt Sushant Tare, and trainee commander Capt V Roopa.
Storm Eunice hit the northwest Europe, so far leaving at least 16 fatalities owing to falling trees and flying debris from strong winds in Britain, Ireland, the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and Poland.
The United Kingdom had issued a red weather warning on Friday.
