Dhaka, Bangladesh, September 6, 2024 — A disturbing video showing a Hindu teenager being brutally attacked by a Muslim mob inside a police station in Bangladesh has gone viral. The incident involved 15-year-old Uttsav Mandal, who is accused of making derogatory statements about Prophet Muhammad on social media.

The attack took place late Wednesday night at a police station in the Sonadanga residential area of Khulna. According to local media, Uttsav Mandal survived the assault and is currently receiving medical treatment at a military hospital.

Police official Islam confirmed that Uttsav is out of danger after being admitted to the military hospital for treatment. The assault occurred around 11:45 p.m. when a group of local madrasa students, accusing Uttsav of posting offensive remarks about the Prophet on Facebook, brought him to the police station.

Tensions escalated as more students and members of the Imam Association gathered outside the police station, demanding severe punishment for the teenager. Uttsav, who was severely injured, was ultimately transported by military personnel for medical care.

Authorities have confirmed that Uttsav is currently stable and being treated at the military hospital. A blasphemy case has been filed against him, and police have assured that appropriate legal action will be taken.
