China mocks India's COVID-19 situation on social media, deletes post after backlash

China is known for all the notoriety in the world. Sometimes it faces criticism over its expansionist tendencies or other times it faces backlash over its insesitivity.

This time it has done something similar. A social media post by China’s top law enforcement body has left the world shocked over the country’s insensitivity.

The post juxtaposes China’s successful launch of a module into space with grim cremation pyres in India.

However, it was deleted after it sparked online criticism in China.
Photos of the Tianhe module launch and its fuel burn-off were compared with what appeared to be a mass outdoor cremation in India.

Being neighbouring countries, India and China have faced many border disputes too. Earlier, President Xi Jinping too had sent condolence messages and even offered help ti fight COVID-19.

But the series of posts mocking India just cannot be taken lightly. This is a serious issue, people are dying due to a virus.

In order to cover up, the Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin said Friday China is trying its best to collect the anti-epidemic supplies urgently needed by India, and deliver it to the country.
