Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan is facing the biggest political turmoil of the period.
The domestic tumult has resulted into an alleged conspiracy that now challenges Imran Khan’s rule as Pakistan’s PM.
He was first elected in 2018 and his rule got mired in issues of unemployment, hunger, economic crisis that now snowballed into a big power tussle.
Mr Khan calling on his supporters in Pakistan asked them take to the streets as a no-trust vote could soon topple his government.
What happened with Imran Khan in Pakistan?
Imran Khan’s party (PTI) has lost its majority in the 342-member assembly. The major shock came as a key coalition ally left his side.
Basically, several lawmakers from the ruling party also indicated that they will cross the floor for voting with the Opposition.

A day ago, Imran Khan called on his supporters to take to the streets to protest against this alleged “conspiracy”.
It is to be noted here that Opposition in Pakistan is headed by the Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) and the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP).
Who may become next Pakistan PM?
If Imran Khan is removed then the next Pakistani PM may be PML-N’s Shehbaz Sharif.
Shehbaz Sharif is the younger brother of three-time PM Nawaz Sharif.
Former Pak PM was ousted and jailed on corruption charges. Currently, he is in Britain.
Essentially, it is the Pakistani army that runs their government. So, if Imran Khan loses the crucial support of their military, he may have to lose his seat as PM.
