She was on a business trip to Madrid where robbers assaulted her. In a video message on social media, she has shared her plight and narrated the untoward incident. The social media and Indian media escalated the issue of woman.

In her complaint to the authorities in India she said, “No one helped me out in that hour of distress. I had been running pillar to post with my complaints but the hotel authorities are ignoring it. It was a phase of serious lack of safety to a woman on a foreign land. The Indian Embassy in Spain helped me with my complaint. I had ran out of cash. I didn’t know what to do. Despite filing an FIR in the nearest Police Station in Madrid, no actions have been taken against the culprits. I have contacted a lawyer in Spain. He is helping me with the suit.”
Sharing the ordeal, she said, “The robbers hit me, pushed me down and took away my bag inside the hotel’s lobby area. The hotel authorities didn’t help me. I had to be confined in this hotel. I lost all my important belongings including my passport.”
Jasmeet has written it to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and PMO about the mental trauma, agony and disrespect she had to face in Spain. In the suit complaint she has mentioned that there was no security or other safety arrangements in the Hotel. “I had paid a huge amount for my stay as requested by the Hotel management. I don’t want any other woman to suffer like me. This could have been avoided if the hotel’s staff and the management would have acted swiftly. As a citizen of India, I bowed to all the authorities of our country to kindly look into the matter seriously and expeditiously.”
She said, “Women aren’t safe anywhere in the world. I humbly request the Indian Foreign Minister Dr. Jaishankar, Ministry of External Affairs, the Indian Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, and other authorities to please help me in this situation. I want this concern of safety to be addressed in the United Nations and other wings of the UN dealing with women safety and security in the world. I will also write to the UN authorities including the secretary general and other top UN envoys in India.”
Addressing the Mediapersons, she said, ” Everyday i am losing my business and i am unable to travel and meet my clients who are spread over America, Europe, South America and Middle East as i lost my passport due to the theft. More than 500 Families are impacted by this and its adversely affected my business in long run. Hilton Hotel is responsible for all the losses .
