Malayalam Actor Nivin Pauly Takes Unprecedented Step to Prove Innocence in Sexual Harassment Case

Dubai, September 7: Malayalam actor Nivin Pauly, who is facing allegations of sexual harassment, has taken significant measures to prove his innocence. The allegations, which stem from an incident reportedly in Dubai, have been strongly denied by the actor. In a bold move, Nivin has handed over his passport to the police, asserting that he has no intention of fleeing and is fully cooperating with the investigation.

Nivin Pauly, along with four others, has been accused by a woman who claimed to have experienced harassment. In response, the actor wrote a letter to the Director General of Police (DGP) and the Special Investigation Team (SIT), requesting an immediate and thorough investigation into the case. He maintains that the accusations are baseless and false, and has urged authorities to clear his name as soon as possible.

“I am ready to go to any extent to prove that these allegations are false,” said Nivin, adding that he believes in the legal process and wants the truth to come out. This stance has been unusual in such cases, where accused individuals often avoid direct involvement in the investigation. Nivin's decision to voluntarily submit his passport highlights his commitment to transparency and accountability.

The allegations have surfaced in the wake of the Hema Committee report, which revealed the challenges and harassment faced by women in the Malayalam film industry. The report has prompted several individuals to come forward with their experiences, including the woman who filed the case against Nivin and others.

The police have already registered a case, and there is a possibility that the case may be transferred to the SIT for further investigation.
