Almost more than 200 passengers were injured in Malaysia’s Kuala Lumpur on Monday. This happened when two metro trains collided in a tunnel, police said. The accident took place just before 9:00 pm (1300 GMT).

It was when a packed train collided with a second empty one and heading in the opposite direction.

Photos on social media show the injured passengers sprawled on the floor of a carriage, which was covered in glass.

As per reports, the concerned authorities are suspecting that there was a miscommunication from the trains’ operations control center.

The Transport Minister Wee Ka Siong says the collision was the first major accident in the metro system’s 23 years of operation. Moreover, he calls for a thorough investigation.
