A man carrying bow and arrows attacked and killed five people near Oslo, Norway.

As per sources, a confrontation took place between the officers and the assailant. Two others were also wounded and hospitalised in intensive care.

The acting PM Erna Solberg described the attack as ‘gruesome’ saying that it was too early to speculate on the man’s motive.

The suspect was walking around the city shooting at people with arrows.

This attack comes years after the violence that took place in July 2011, claiming 77 people in Norway.

Police identified the suspect as a 37-year-old Danish citizen.

The website of public broadcaster NRK showed an image of a black arrow sticking out of a wall.

In other pictures on social media, it all looked like competition-grade arrows that were seen lying on the ground.

As per sources, the culprit had even announced this crime a few days ago on his YouTube channel.
