It became as a major blow to Pakistan PM Imran Khan when he lost majority in the house.
Mr Khan received another blow as Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan (MQM-P) which is the major coalition partner of his PTI government got into a deal with the opposition Pakistan Peoples Party.
This comes after the PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari shared the news this morning.
Senior MQM leader Faisal Sabzwari also confirmed it saying that the agreement has been finalized and the details will be provided today.
This was a late-night development that came just ahead of the no-confidence motion. It has now left Imran Khan’s future in tatters after his PTI government lost majority in the lower house of the parliament.
It is noteworthy that the Pakistani National Assembly has a total strength of 342 members; the majority mark stands at 172.
Now, the Opposition has 177 supporters in the national assembly. Meanwhile, Imran Khan has been resorting to grab attention by calling it a part of conspiracy to topple his government.
