A bus loaded with pilgrims coming back from a religious festival crashed in Pakistan on Friday. At least 20 people were killed and 10 others got critically injured.
The bus careened off the road into a ditch during the early morning in the Karkh area of Khuzdar district, in Pakistan’s southwestern province of Balochistan.
So far 20 bodies have been recovered in Khuzdar district hospital.The accident victims were returning from attending a religious festival honouring a local Muslim saint. The victims were from the province of Sindh.
Owing to the poor state of roads and track and overloaded bus, accidents are commonplace in Pakistan.
The bus was overloaded. Some of the passengers were even travelling on the roof of the bus. For help and aid work, paramilitary forces and soldiers were sent to the spot.
