Adding strength to their manpower, Ukrainians are joining their country’s territorial defence unit. The newly-conscripted defense forces will combat the enemy Russian forces.
Over 100,000 Ukrainians have joined these forces to fight for their country. As per sources, more than 200,000 Ukrainian citizens have returned from Europe to help in this fight against Russia.
But Ukraine’s defense minister asserts that the newly formed ranks of untrained civilians won’t be sent into frontline battles.
Since it is the army that stops more enemies because it is motivated, better trained and armed.
He also added that conscripts should keep the military informed of their whereabouts.
The World Health Organization (WHO) has advised Ukraine to destroy any dangerous pathogens being kept in research laboratories. This should prevent “any potential spills” that could harm the civilians.
Since Ukraine also has public health laboratories that study dangerous diseases in humans and animals.
The debate doesn’t stop here, it goes on to express concerns over the use of chemical and biological weapons.
The UN Security Council will also hold an emergency meeting on Friday. It will have discussions regarding Russia’s claim that the US is funding the development of biological weapons in Ukraine.
The meeting, requested by Russia, Western countries call it a blame-game for justifying its own potential future use of biological and chemical weapons in Ukraine.
