The US Monday finally authorized use of Pfizer-BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine for children of 12 to 15 years age group.
The US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) had previously also granted an emergency use authorization for the jab to individuals of 16 and above.
“This is a promising development in our fight against the virus,” said President Joe Biden.

It has classified it as a variant of concern at the global level. The coronavirus pandemic has killed close to 3.3 million people worldwide.
Now the only solution that emerges to fight against this coronavirus is vaccination and use of masks.
The coronavirus caseload in India dropped to 3.29 lakh today. This comes after 14 days taking the total tally of coronavirus cases to 2,29,92,517. The data is as per the Union Health Ministry data of Tuesday.
Moreover, WHO Chief Scientist Soumya Swaminathan says that there is no available data so far which suggests that the double mutant strain of coronavirus is resistant to vaccines.
