The US (CDC) has issued a Level One COVID-19 notice for the Americans travelling to India.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, US says that the risk of contracting the infection and severe symptoms may be lower if one is fully vaccinated.
The same health notice has also been issued for Pakistan. Besides, the US State Department has issued level two and three travel advisories for both India and Pakistan.
It asks the citizens to reconsider travelling to Pakistan due to terrorism and sectarian violence.
In its advisory for India, the US State Department urges its citizens not to travel to J&K due to civil unrest.
The department in its advisory for Pakistan has urged its citizens not to travel to Balochistan province and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, also the FATA, due to terrorism and kidnapping.
“Terrorists may attack with little or no warning, targeting transportation hubs, markets, shopping malls, military installations, airports, universities, tourist locations, schools, hospitals, places of worship, and government facilities,” it reads.
In the past too, terrorists have targeted US diplomats and diplomatic facilities, the advisory on Pakistan says.
