WhatsApp Brings Music to Status Updates: Everything You Need to Know

WhatsApp Status Music: WhatsApp now lets users add music to their status updates, much like Instagram Stories. This feature, currently in beta, offers a comprehensive music catalog, trending tracks, and easy browsing. Discover how to use it and make your status updates more engaging.

WhatsApp has introduced a beta feature allowing users to add music to their status updates. Available to select beta testers on Android 2.25.2.5, this new option can be accessed through the drawing editor in the status section. Users can browse Meta’s music catalog, which includes trending tracks and artist-specific sections, making it simple to find and add the perfect song. The process is similar to Instagram’s music feature, providing a seamless experience for users who want to personalize their status updates.

How It Works

  • Open the status section and select the drawing editor.

  • Browse Meta’s music catalog to find your desired track.

  • Choose from trending or artist-specific music options.

  • Add the selected song to your status update.

This feature is still in its testing phase, so it’s currently available only to a limited group of beta users.

WhatsApp Status Mention Feature

In addition to music, WhatsApp now offers a mention feature for status updates. By tapping the “@” icon in the text box, users can open their contact list, search for specific contacts, and mention them directly. Mentions are not visible to everyone, allowing users to maintain a more personalized and private sharing experience.

With these new features, WhatsApp continues to innovate, offering tools that make it easier and more enjoyable for users to express themselves.
