This smog is unbearable. The visibility is so poor that even the tracks are difficult to spot. It's affecting everyone here," said a regular commuter at the station.

Local media indicate that the air quality in the city of Delhi is alarming by now, with AQI readings entering the 'severe' category. With ground emission on all sides from vehicles and industries, the railway station area seems to be one of the worst-hit areas. It might also pose risks to train operations; besides delays, it would be challenging due to a very low visibility level on the track.

The government has been asked to take harder measures to fight the pollution crisis, which is still showing repercussions on the lives of Delhi residents. Train passengers at Nangaloi are demanding immediate action to improve air quality and reduce their exposure to harmful effects of smog.
