In an unprecedented development, a forger disguising himself as a policeman from Mumbai met his nemesis when his incorrect dialing to Kerala rang up the wrong police officer. How the Scammer Got Exposed

The scammer has made a critical mistake by video-calling a Thrissur City Cyber Cell officer as if he is speaking to an unsuspecting victim. Through the call, the scammer introduced himself as a Mumbai police officer. The real policeman kept his camera off and calmly replied to all of the scammer's questions in order to gather more information. Things took a turn for worse when the scammer asked the officer to switch on his camera. As soon as the Thrissur officer revealed his identity, the scammer visibly reeled in and panicked at realizing how grave his error was.

Prompt Response by the Officer

Using the opportunity, the Thrissur officer warned the scammer to immediately stop his fraud. He said, "I have all your details, your location, everything. This is the Cyber Cell. Better that you stop this right now." The scammer realized that he had no way out and seemed perturbed and started trying to exit the situation.
It spread like wildfire on social media as the Thrissur City Police posted the video. Within hours, it has acquired more than 200,000 views. The young officer received accolades from netizens as he handled the situation with poise and a witty attitude. Commenting on the video, one user said: "This is what happens when you think you can fool everyone. Poor guy did not even realize he was talking to whom!"
