For the first time, the 2025 Kumbh Mela will witness a unique initiative by the saints’ community focused on environmental conservation. With the slogan "Meri Shaan Mera Thaila, Kyon Karen Hum Rashtra Maila" (My Pride, My Bag; Why Make Our Nation Dirty?), over 50,000 cloth bags will be distributed for free, promoting a plastic-free India.

Swami Sahajanand Saraswati, known for his lifelong dedication to environmental preservation and the Mahamrityunjaya Yantra, has been at the forefront of this movement. Over the past three decades, he has distributed millions of cloth bags to combat plastic pollution. Under his guidance, Mission Green and the World Climate Change Foundation have planted 6.5 million trees and taken significant steps to elevate the fight against climate change. These efforts bring hope amid the challenges of air pollution and smog in Indian cities.

Through this campaign, Mission Green Foundation aims to increase environmental awareness. With the theme "Plant Trees, Save Lives," environmentalists from around the world will participate in this event. The World Climate Change Foundation, active in over 35 countries, is backing this initiative. Information on India’s net-zero carbon goals and sustainable development will also be shared.

This initiative will convey the message of a cleaner environment to millions of devotees. Cloth bags distributed by Mission Green Foundation will carry the message "Meri Shaan Mera Thaila" to inspire eco-friendly practices. The program will be broadcast live on news channels and social media, spreading the essence of Indian Sanatan culture globally.

During the 2025 Maha Kumbh, a large Mahamrityunjaya Yantra will be constructed on the banks of the Sangam in Prayagraj. The Kumbh Mela will take place from January 13 to February 26, 2025, culminating on Mahashivratri.
