Ratan Tata Last Rites Crematorium: Nation Mourns the Passing of Ratan Tata, Funeral to Be Held Today with State Honors
India is in mourning after the death of legendary industrialist Ratan Tata, who passed away at the age of 86. He took his last breath at Mumbai's Breach Candy Hospital last night. Today, Ratan Tata will be cremated with full state honors at the Worli Parsi Crematorium in Mumbai. His body will be placed in an electric cremator for the final rites, preceded by prayers in the prayer hall.

Body Kept at NCPA for Public Viewing
Ratan Tata’s body, draped in the national flag, has been placed at the National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA) in Nariman Point, Mumbai. A large number of people are arriving to pay their final respects. The public will be able to view his body until 3:30 PM today, after which the funeral will take place at 4 PM at the Worli Crematorium.

Funeral Rites for Ratan Tata
Ratan Tata's body will first be taken to the Worli Parsi Crematorium, where it will be placed in the prayer hall for a 45-minute prayer session. A traditional Parsi prayer, known as "Geh-Sarna," will be recited. During the prayer, a cloth will be placed over Tata's face, and the first chapter of "Ahanaveiti" will be read as part of the peaceful farewell process. Around 200 people are expected to attend this ceremony. Following the prayers, his body will be placed in an electric cremator for the final rites.
One Day of State Mourning in Maharashtra
In honor of Ratan Tata’s passing, the Maharashtra government has declared a day of state mourning. During this period, the national flag at government offices will be flown at half-mast. Additionally, no entertainment programs will be held across the state today.
