Noida School Closed Today: Pollution Causes Gautam Budha Nagar Schools Closing - 5 Big Points

The AQI in Noida remains at around 450, posing a serious health risk for children and adults alike.

As air quality continues to deteriorate, schools in Gautam Budh Nagar, including Noida, have remained closed till November 25. District magistrate Manish Kumar Verma had issued the directive to extend the closure of physical classes on account of dangerous pollution levels. The AQI in Noida remains at around 450, posing a serious health risk for children and adults alike.

Originally, the order was to close down all learning institutions until November 23; however, due to the fact that AQI levels remained hazardous, a decision for extension has been made. It concerns all schools, among them being those affiliated to various boards, and the beginning of the suspension of physical classes up to the 12th grade. All classes will be conducted online to ensure the safety of the students.

The order comes when smog over Noida has remained hazardous. Though the decrease in smog has been slight, the air remains unhealthy, the district magistrate emphasized- particularly for young children. Under no circumstances will physical classes begin until the air quality improves, the district magistrate emphasized.

The administration has also increased efforts to curb the pollution. Over 100 sprinklers have been installed in the city, more than doubling the previous number of 60. Smog guns have also been very effective in curbing the increase in pollutants. Joint teams have been toiling day and night to inspect and check the levels of pollution, trying to take all steps to reduce the damage caused by the air quality crisis.

Additionally, health experts are urging residents to take necessary precautions. It is strongly recommended that people wear masks when stepping outside, especially during the early morning hours when the pollution levels are at their peak. Moreover, outdoor activities, such as morning walks, should be postponed until after the sun rises to reduce exposure to harmful smog and dust.

Citizens in Noida are requested to be informed and updated about the latest on the issue by authorities. It is also an important endeavor aimed at safeguarding public health, which would involve children greatly, and hence the air quality should remain good in the coming days.
